April 2009
It has been a while hasn't it? So much to do...so little time. Right now I am almost done with the Spring semester at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. This semester has been brutal but somehow I am getting through balancing family life, school responsibilities and work. This semester has consisted of drinking alot of coffee, not sleeping very much and the occasional "cleansing cry" from just being exhausted. lol. Lou makes things very easy for me and for that I am grateful! He and my parents are very supportive of my decision to return to school and they do alot for me. I will be taking a couple of classes during Summer I but after that I am taking a 6 week break from school to "recharge my battery" until the Fall semester begins.....whatever will I do with all that time? Well, let me tell you! Lou and I are looking forward to some time off. We are planning on visiting 2 of our favorite people as soon as all of our schedules allow - Ray & Glenda here we come! Looking further ahead we are going to take a family vacation to California sometime in July. In August Lindsey & I are heading back to New York! Lindsey is going to be 15 years old on April 27th. I can't believe it! She is counting down to her birthday and how many days are left before school is out. Daniel has been doing well in school and is almost reading at a 3rd grade level (he's in 1st grade). He works very hard on improving his reading level and it shows. Until next time.....hugzzzzzzz......Dina

March 1st, 2009
This is my first attempt at blogging. I thought "why not"?....I have alot of random thoughts that pop into my head so why not share? This past weekend my brother in law Ray and his wife Glenda (who is like a sister and friend to me) came to town to attend their grandson Cody's 5th birthday party. Cody says now that now that he is 5 years old he is a big boy.....and I believe him....We all met Jamie's boyfriend, Andrew, and it was nice getting to know him. Lou worked on a leaky faucet outside this afternoon while I tore up the flower beds and sprayed down the porch and sidewalks. I am getting ready for Spring and preparing for some serious front porch swinging when the weather gets nice. Lindsey is online right now and has enjoyed reading her poetry and Shakespeare books. Daniel enjoyed hanging out with his Uncle Ray and he is in bed now....hopefully sleeping.
